Within the department, the main direction of the staff engaged is research aimed at achieving the following specific objectives:

1. Development of methods, algorithms and computer technologies forming digital terrain models (DTM) using images acquired with different angles taken from a spacecraft
2. Development and research of methods and algorithms to improve the quality of images recorded by means of diffractive optics
3. Development and research of new methods and algorithms for preprocessing and thematic analysis of hyperspectral images acquired from a spacecraft.
