Born on 8 May 1961 in Chita.

1983: graduated from Irkutsk State University, faculty of Mathematics.

1981: started working at Irkutsk Computing Centre in Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences in USSR (Institute of System Dynamics and Control in SB of the RAS in 1997).

1991: defended the thesis “Network system of knowledge processing and representation for organising computer calculations”; completed a PhD.

2003: defended the thesis “Corporate intelligent technology of processing spatially distributed data for region management purposes”; completed the degree of Doctor of Engineering (higher doctorate).

2008: was elected a corresponding member of the RAS Department of Nanotechnology and Information Technologies.

2011: was elected a full member of the RAS.
