New equipment has been installed, including a terminal of data pre-processing for Suomi NPP space vehicle and a terminal of automated data pre-processing for Terra, Auqa, and Suomi NPP.
The equipment allows receiving and processing the data obtained from Suomi NPP, the new space vehicle. Suomi NPP provides timely information on cloud-cover and Earth surface conditions, suspended particulates percentage, atmospheric water vapor distribution, along with a means of monitoring dangerous atmospheric phenomena, forest fires, landscape changes, ice conditions in the northern seas, and other data gathering.
